He studied at the Higher Design School in Offenbach. In 1977 he opened Industrieformen Piorek, a design studio in Wiesbaden. It specialised in produkt design and development. Since 2004 he began working in Poznan with the grupa inspira. He designs, creates and develops systems of office furniture; office, conference and laboratory chairs; household appliances; electrical and electronic equipment; milling; heating systems; accessories and sports equipment; chairs for stadiums and halls; camping equipment; automotive design and airport service vehicles. He works as a professor at the Faculty of Architecture University of Technology in Poznan (the subject of industrial design).
