MAJ GANSZYNIEC

Maja Ganszyniec is a graduate of the Faculty of Design Product of the London Royal College of Art and the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków. Since 2013 she has run Studio Ganszyniec, specialized in designing furniture and industrial products. She believes in the value of creating beautiful, human and nature-friendly objects. Her projects are both visionary and responsible. She is looking for new opportunities within the limitations of strategic thinking.

Founder of the NURT brand, she has cooperated with IKEA, Comforty and Noti, to name a few. In 2017, the Institute of Industrial Design presented her with the Designer of the Year award, while DesignAlive magazine also honoured her with the Creator of the Year title.

The TOP DESIGN AWARD competition is one of the pillars of the ARENA DESIGN event. Its aim is not only to reward products that stand out on the market, but also to emphasize the importance of cooperation between the designer and the manufacturer. Good design is characterized by the combination of such features as functionality, ergonomics, aesthetics, economy and ecology, all in a single product. All of that combined creates the added value that a conscious customer is looking for in the market.
